My buddy Jim over at the JPGWrites blog has issued a challenge and is taking all comers. The goal: to write one page per day. No equivalents (you can't write 7 pages on Sunday and then chill all day long). His goal is to finish his novel by the end of this young, green year.

I've been looking for ways to jump-start my productivity for some time now, and this is an excellent opportunity. It's always better when you're measuring yourself to someone else's standards -- that way, you never feel like you're being hard on yourself. No, it's that other guy, the one who established the challenge -- he's the jerk.
